Inside, a precision hybrid gear system combines a zinc alloy main gear with an aluminum pinion and main shaft (sizes 2000/3000), while larger sizes (4000/5000) upgrade to a stainless steel main shaft for increased durability under heavier loads.

The Verus features KastKing’s D.S.S.R technology for improved smoothness and long-term performance, supported by a 10+1 MaxiDur double-shielded stainless steel bearing system. A patented spool design reduces line friction, allowing for longer casts and better line control.

Drag performance is equally impressive, with a double-disc carbon fiber system on smaller sizes (2000/3000) delivering up to 15 lbs of smooth drag, while larger sizes (4000/5000) utilize a triple-disc system producing over 22 lbs of stopping power.

Finished with a one-piece bail, sealed CNC anodized aluminum spool, and a comfortable EVA/cork handle knob, the Verus is built for reliability, control, and performance across a wide range of fishing conditions.
